The present study focused on analyzing the perceptions of Business Administration students of the State University of Bolivar with respect to the criteria of sustainable development, highlighting the importance of acquiring the necessary knowledge to face the challenges of the modern labor field. Using a quantitative methodology, primary and secondary data were integrated through bibliographic research and the application of a structured survey of 20 questions distributed in three sections (analysis of perceptions, approach to sustainable development in the career, skills and knowledge) in the social, environmental and economic axes, applied to a sample of 119 students and validated through statistical tests. The results showed that students have some knowledge on the subject, but there are gaps that need to be filled, as they are predisposed to participate in activities that provide them with useful tools for their personal and professional development. It should be noted that the students' perception does not differ according to the academic semester they are in, but external factors and the capacity of the educational institution to effectively promote sustainability issues also play a role.
