Abstract

This article presents a systematic review on the impact of digital tools in nursing education. The aim was to analyze how technologies such as virtual simulations, augmented reality, e-learning, and mobile applications influence nursing students' learning. Inclusion criteria encompassed studies published between 2020 and 2024 in English or Spanish, involving undergraduate or graduate nursing students. A systematic search was conducted in databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and CINAHL, using MeSH terms related to nursing education and digital tools. The review included experimental and observational studies that compared digital interventions with traditional teaching methods. A total of 10 studies were analyzed, showing a positive impact of digital tools on the development of clinical competencies, knowledge retention, and student satisfaction. However, challenges such as the digital divide and lack of training were identified, which hinder the effective implementation of these technologies.
