Organizational strategic process applied in the Andaychagua mine

Objective. To demonstrate that the application of strategies can improve medium and long-term production programs, achieving better exploitation of mineral resources and therefore better economic benefits in the Andaychagua mine with levels of international competitiveness by applying new technologies as part of a sustainable development process to take advantage of the high geological potential of the mine. Methodology. The approach used in the research is descriptive because it details a series of strategies that must be applied based on the problems of the mine, which will serve for better decision making when carrying out production programs. Likewise, within the strategic process, different matrices were developed which allowed us to determine main strategies with a thorough analysis that determined the possible solutions for compliance with the planning. Results. According to the different matrices analyzed, the quantitative strategic planning matrix shows better results according to the scores assigned and the strategies retained. Conclusion. A strategic process applied in the Andaychagua mine will increase mineral production, generating better economic benefits for the mining company.
