Adherence to physical education in high school students is fundamental to promote healthy lifestyles and improve quality of life. However, various sociodemographic and psychological factors hinder sustained participation in this subject. The general objective of the present study was to design a didactic proposal to improve adherence to physical education in high school students of the Leonardo Maldonado Pérez School. Specific objectives were established to diagnose the level of adherence, analyze the associated factors, establish methodological strategies and evaluate the designed proposal. The methodology included the application of a survey questionnaire to the student population, followed by data analysis using the IBM SPSS 20 program and a comparative qualitative analysis with similar research. The results indicated that factors such as intrinsic motivation, social support and self-efficacy are determinants in the adherence to physical education. The didactic proposal developed incorporates active and motivational strategies, integrating curricular planning and lesson plans that encourage autonomous participation and enjoyment of physical activity. The implementation of this proposal is expected to increase adherence levels, thus promoting healthy lifestyle habits among students. Finally, conclusions and recommendations for future research and practical applications in the educational setting are presented.
