Abstract

The present study aims to evaluate the impact of an intervention aimed at emotional and social development in children under 3 years of age in three Integral Child Development Centers in the Archidona canton. A quantitative approach with a experimental design was used, applying questionnaires including a pretest and a posttest to measure achievement indicators in different age groups. Bibliographic, field and descriptive research was carried out to provide a theoretical basis for the study and to characterize the current state of the children's socioemotional skills. The results revealed significant improvements in the children's emotional and social development, highlighting, in the group of children aged 25-36 months, the percentage of children mastering the skills evaluated increased from 42% to 92% in the “Mushuk Wawa” Center, from 38% to 46% in “Luceritos” and from 29% to 75% in “Yuyarik Wawakuna”. These findings suggest that the strategies implemented, based on sensitive parenting practices and play activities, are effective in fostering key socioemotional skills. The research highlights the importance of early interventions in the integral development of children.
