The use of recycled polymers in recreational space design offers a sustainable solution for reducing plastic waste and conserving resources. Critical to physical and mental well-being, recreational spaces benefit from the integration of these recycled materials, which provide durability and safety. This article explores key aspects of recreational space design, including material selection, safety, and environmental impact. By reducing reliance on virgin plastics and decreasing pollution, recycled polymers promote sustainability and foster a circular economy. Examples of existing projects demonstrating the effectiveness of these materials are highlighted, as well as lessons learned and best practices for their application. Emerging innovations in the field of recycled polymers and smart technologies promise further improvements in the functionality and sustainability of these spaces. Challenges include ensuring quality and user acceptance, but the environmental and educational benefits are significant. The integration of recycled polymers sets a standard for sustainable design and offers opportunities for future innovations in the sector.
