Abstract

This paper addresses the inventory management and its impact on the purchases of the company AMECUCOL S.A., located in Santo Domingo. The purpose of this study is to propose solutions to the problems identified in the inventory and purchasing processes. The lack of function manuals, clear procedures and adequate documentation significantly affects the performance of the warehouse and, therefore, the management of purchases. The overall objective of the study is to analyze inventory management and its impact on purchasing at AMECUCOL S.A., with the aim of optimizing internal operations and improving control over inventory and purchasing. The research uses a mixed approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods. Techniques such as observation, interviews and surveys were applied to gather information on inventory management and the purchasing process. The research design is cross-sectional and non-experimental, allowing the establishment of cause-and-effect relationships without manipulating variables. The sample includes all employees of the company, due to its small size, which ensures a comprehensive assessment of the situation. The proposal for improvement includes the implementation of standardized procedures, better stock control and training for personnel in inventory management. These actions contribute to optimize the supply chain and improve the operational efficiency of the company, reducing losses and improving customer satisfaction
