Phosphorus foliar fertilization of passion fruit (Passiflora edulis) in production stage.

The objective of this research was to determine the effect of phosphorus foliar fertilization on passion fruit (Passiflora edulis) crop at the Mishilí-Santo Domingo de los Tsáchila farm, for which five treatments were established: T1(1 cc), T2 (3 cc), T3(5 cc), T4 (7 cc) and T5 (9 cc), implemented in a Block Design Completely Randomized (DBCA), with four replications. The variables evaluated were: leaf area (cm2), fruit number, fruit diameter (mm), fruit weight (g), peel weight (g) and pulp (g). The results showed that the dose of phosphoric fertilizer that presented the best response in passion fruit (Passiflora edulis) was that of 1 and 7 cc of P, since it produced a leaf area of 41,25 cm2; and that of 3 cc of P per liter of water achieved a greater quantity of fruit with 5,50; 5,88, 4,00 and 3,75 units on the different evaluation dates. As for the physical characteristics of the fruit, it was T2 (3 cc of P) that reported the greatest fruit diameter (5,50; 5,88, 4,00 and 3,75 units) on the different evaluation dates.
