Analysis of security management and risk prevention work in the Bemau Express Company.

Abstract

The objective of this research work was to evaluate safety management and occupational risk prevention in the Bemau Express company, ensuring a safe environment for workers and verifying regulatory compliance. The methodology used was quantitative, based on worker surveys and facility inspections. The results showed that 95.5% of workers perceived the application of preventive methods, but only 50% recognized procedures to identify risks, which indicated a possible lack of effectiveness. 81.8% of employees knew the current regulations, although 18.2% did not know them, suggesting the need to improve training. Regarding workplace accidents, 68.2% stated that no incidents had occurred, while 31.8% indicated that they had occurred. Although 77.3% considered that measures were applied to avoid the repetition of accidents, 86.4% perceived that there was a lack of knowledge in the company about preventive measures. Analysis of the GTC 45 risk matrix and inspections revealed critical areas requiring intervention, such as manual handling of loads and noise exposure. A training plan focused on improving safety management in these areas was proposed, in order to mitigate risks and promote a safer work environment.
