Abstract

The present research work was carried out in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, at Av. Quevedo, km 6 ½, at the Mishili farm, of the Instituto Superior Tecnológico Tsáchila, to evaluate the effect of solid organic fertilizers on the development of turmeric (Curcuma longa L. ), in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, in the edaphic application, a randomized complete block design (DBCA) was used, with three organic fertilizers; compost, bocashi, vermicompost, and absolute control, the methodology used was experimental, the variables measured were; plant height (cm), number of leaves/plant, rhizome weight (g), number of tillers, number of rhizomes, the data was taken at the end of the crop cycle, days after planting, obtaining the following values, showing T2 as the best treatment in foliage; In plant height 48.67 cm, number of leaves/plant 8.44, and in the productive part T3; rhizome weight 88.42 g, number of tillers 6.22 and number of rhizomes 25.64, showing the effectiveness of organic fertilizers in the productivity of the turmeric crop.
